The "Ocean in Our Lives" project offers an exciting opportunity to explore how the movement of people, goods, and ideas across oceans has shaped cultures, economies, and everyday life.

I found it very interesting about various objects or foods journey that have traveled across ocean to reach us.
Tea was originally cultivated in China, tea crossed oceans through maritime trade routes to reach Europe and later India, reshaping global economies and cultural practices.
Spices like nutmeg and cloves, native to the Maluku Islands, traveled via oceanic routes to Europe, fueling exploration and colonization.
Fashion and Textiles like cotton from India, silk from China, and indigo dye were transported across oceans, influencing global fashion and industry.

And these items made a huge cultural impact in the world:
Food Fusion: Ingredients like tomatoes and curry spices have mixed across cultures, creating unique cuisines worldwide.
Art and Ideas: Trade by sea brought not just goods but also artistic and intellectual exchanges, influencing literature, architecture, and music.

By exploring and sharing these stories, the project can inspire others to appreciate the oceans' vital role in connecting humanity.
