Kruu Founder Anil Srinivasan Featured on Times of India

We’re proud to share that Times of India has featured Kruu in an in‑depth interview with our founder, Anil Srinivasan. The article, titled K-12 Crusader bridges knowledge gap takes you through the journey that brought us here. It also details how our unique approach is making high‑quality project based learning accessible to students all over the world.

From the very beginning, Anil Sir envisioned education as a space for exploration rather than rote memorization. Using his background in classical music and cognitive neuroscience, he launched Rhapsody in 2013, a pioneering platform that taught STEM concepts through music and visual arts. By turning physics principles into songs and teaching scientific ideas in unique ways, Rhapsody laid the groundwork for the pedagogical philosophy that underpins Kruu today.

Fast forward a decade: in late 2022, Anil Sir extended that vision into Kruu. Our project based learning platform empowers middle and high‑school students to work on hands-on challenges. These range from building foldable houses to making AI assistant apps, and are guided at every step by professors from leading global universities.

Building Kruu’s support network required tapping into Anil Sir’s multifaceted experience. His work with schoolchildren, teaching stints in B‑school classrooms, and collaborations with researchers abroad helped him identify critical barriers at the grassroots level, and then forge partnerships to overcome them.

Our focus on project based learning has resonated strongly under India’s National Education Policy. This strategic approach has allowed us to scale sustainably, turning early pilot programs into a thriving community of learners. It has also let us spread our roots in over 11 countries, letting us take our mission to the global stage.

Being featured in Times of India is both an honor and a validation of our team’s hard work. It reminds us that meaningful education innovation can reach every corner of the country. As we reflect on this milestone, we remain committed to the mission that inspired Anil Sir’s first experiments with music and learning: to give every student access to world‑class mentorship and hands-on projects, so that the next great innovator could emerge from any corner of the world.

Thank you to Times of India for shining a spotlight on our journey, and thank you to every student, educator, and partner who believes in Kruu’s vision. Together, we’re bridging the knowledge gap, one project at a time.
