Students will investigate ways to integrate automated technologies such as robotics, AI and IoT – from personalised customer interactions to checkout processes – in retail settings. The goal is to streamline operations, enhance customer satisfaction and optimise efficiency throughout the shopping journey. Students will be encouraged to move beyond typical use-cases such as automated check-outs to more innovative and novel ways to enhance the retail shopping experience in line with recent technological trends.
