How much can you say in just seventeen syllables? This project explores the power of brevity through the Japanese tradition of Haiku and its expanded forms. Students will move beyond simple "rhyming" to understand poetry as a medium for capturing precise emotions and snapshots of life. By blending text with visual art and prose, students will learn that creative expression is as much about what you leave out as what you put in.
